Trading Attention, Continued + Some Token Ideas 4 You

In our last post, we tried to hammer home the idea that you should be trading attention and nothing else.    With a secondary point that there is always money to be made if you are paying attention.  

Two addendums to the post to consider at this stage in the market:

1-there are no clear metas right now, except for memes on SOL or the occasional high attention meme on ETH

2-The new launch game has gotten increasingly difficult with all of the attention on SOL and with the amount of tokens launched there. 

Most of us like to gamble on new launches, and have definitely done well in periods that match our strengths (for me it was the AI/GPU larp szn in Feb).   But today, the only game in town worth paying attention to is high attention SOL memes.    The problem with this is that you probably aren’t going to hit a 1,000x lotto ticket.   But if you pay attention, you can still hit way more comfortable 5-10x’s and actually get some sleep.  

An example:
BILLY launched with an extreme level of attention, spiking to 40% of “total” market attention as measured by TG mentions, CT mentions and of course onchain volume.    This pattern has been seen before in our experimental attention data that we’ve built, with MOTHER and to a lesser extent, DADDY.

MOTHER launched with a big attention spike, it retraced, and then sustained over the course of a week.    Buying into the re-excitement phase post launch would have been anywhere from a 5x to a 10x.  

Ok back to BILLY.   Same thing here, attention spiked on launch, retraced, and then retained attention (and thus excitement).  This is still early versions of the data (so is shown in daily snapshots), but you can see a clear re-excitement phase on 6/19 and then it held 8% or more of the market’s “attention” throughout its existence (until today).   Again, no lotto ticket gains here, but could have gotten a comfy 3-4x but with more confidence and actual thought vs. just gambling. 

Now the idea isn’t just to say “oh ocw ur data is awesome, take my money”.    I think it just shows a powerful example of how paying attention, looking at volume and not gambling on each and every new launch is much better game selection at the moment.   

Ok, so what, great example, I need to make money NOW!!!   Ok, ok.   Here are some setups in high or emerging attention tokens that are most definitely actionable and worth paying attention to (please note that because these are all going to be memes, there won’t be a ton of “research”.    This is the market now)
